Ambiguous
This picture is actually a mix of both ambiguous and flat space. If you can't tell exactly what this is, it's light passing through stained glass onto a wood floor.
Ambiguous
I really loved the way the light was coming in through the windowsill. This photo, while being ambiguous, also contains a lot of diagonal lines creating some nice depth.
Flat Space
Snails! If you can't tell, there's actually a line of little snails behind this one. If you are looking closely, this little guy is just a little out of focus. Because of this really shallow depth of field, it makes the space look a lot more shallow.
Aw I love the little snaily guy at the end there, what a stud. Great photos! I love the second photo in particular; it does a great job being ambiguous enough that I'm not quite sure exactly what I'm looking at, but not so ambiguous that I never figured it out! That's an issue I had with one of my photos. I'm worried it was *too* ambiguous and if I hadn't specified in my caption what it was, nobody would ever be able to get oriented. I think that's a place where your first photo could improve, too. I thought that the image was beautiful, but if you hadn't told me exactly what I was looking at I probably wouldn't…
