Points of Emphasis

  1. "All Twisted Metals Stretching Upwards"

The spoken word lyrics to Godspeed You! Black Emperor's amazing apocalyptic LP. Those are the words that came to mind when I saw this view from outside a room. All diagonal lines point to this building blocking the ball of burning gas. Indeed, as the lines before it say, "The skyline was beautiful on fire."

2. "The rodeo lights. Friday Football games" - Dijon

While driving down the road, there was something immediately haunting seeing massive machines in the distance beaming down on some subject that I couldn't see. After a moment of consideration, it was something beautiful that these lights are allowing someone or some people somewhere in the distance shine with whatever talents they were presenting to their audience.

3. "The light is worth the wait. I promise." - Brockhampton

There are not many diagonal angles in this shot. The ones that are are beams of light pointing to the circular one. While at first this image was unsettling to me, with its feeling of modern corporate claustrophobia, noticing that the lights seem to be working together was quite beautiful to me.

Photo 1: This image is amazing, man. The point of emphasis is most definitely there, with all eyes pointing to that beautiful sun poking behind the building.

Photo 2: I love your description of how you view this large stadium in the distance. However, my eyes were first drawn to that giant light on the right. What is it? Is it meant to be there?

Photo 3: I think this is a super cool image! Very abstract. I wonder if there was a way to take this photo without that square furnace looking thing that's in the foreground blocking part of that light fixture.
